
It's been an emotional week for Jon Stewart.
The comedian and former The Daily Show host gave a powerful speech before Congress on Tuesday to fight for full funding of the 9/11 first responders compensation fund.
Stewart's opening statement received high praise from viewers across the country after footage circulated online, and now there's another touching clip to watch.
Outside the House Judiciary Committee hearing, retired FDNY firefighter Kenny Specht gave Stewart the bunker coat of Ray Pfeifer, Stewart's friend who died of cancer related to his rescue efforts on 9/11 in 2017.
As the video explains, Stewart and Pfeifer became friends in 2015 when fighting for 9/11 bills. Stewart even delivered the eulogy at Pfeifer's funeral. Read more...
