Target just announced a massive two-day summer sale. It's called Target Deal Days, and it's going down on July 15 and 16.
If that sounds familiar, it's probably because those are the same dates as this year's Amazon Prime Day — announced hours after Amazon made the big reveal.
A competing two-day sale is major, but other retailers trying to mess with Prime Day's traffic isn't surprising. Amazon Prime Day 2018 was (by far) the most shopped day of the year, beating out both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The day was so hectic that Amazon actually went down with a 404 error for some shoppers.
