Studies show that approximately 14.1 American households access content through streaming services, and that number has only tripled since 2013.
Sure, streaming services help cut down on the number of commercial breaks we have to sit through and make it possible to watch movies and television anytime, anywhere. But you have to admit, it's kind of nice to watch some programs in real time, whether it's an award show, a big game, or the season finale of The Bachelor.
